At a Glance

Raven is a rule-based network client developed by SignalRender Inc. ("we", "us"). Raven is not a VPN provider: we do not sell or operate proxy nodes, relays, DNS resolvers, or profile-subscription services. You supply the profiles, nodes, and remote sources that Raven uses.

Raven has no account system, advertising SDK, tracking, or Raven telemetry. It does not send your profiles, credentials, browsing history, traffic history, or diagnostics to us. The network requests you direct Raven to make are described below.

1. Information Stored on Your Device

Raven stores the following information locally so it can provide the features you request:

  • Profile names, remote-source URLs, refresh metadata, and downloaded profile or rule-resource files;
  • Manually entered proxy-node settings and credentials;
  • Active routing mode, policy-group selections, and the last-known-good validated profile;
  • App settings, connection intent, and local diagnostic events.

Profile catalog data is stored in Raven's protected app container. The active validated snapshot, connection intent, and extension diagnostics are stored in Raven's protected App Group so the app and its Packet Tunnel extension can coordinate. Diagnostics use stable codes and redacted metadata; Raven is designed not to write raw profile bodies, source URLs, node credentials, UUID secrets, or traffic content to diagnostic logs.

2. Network Traffic Processed by Raven

When you enable Raven, Apple's Network Extension framework sends the selected device traffic to Raven's on-device Packet Tunnel. Raven must process IP packets, DNS requests, routing metadata, and connection state in memory to apply your selected rules and transport traffic through a proxy node or directly to its destination.

Raven does not inspect application payloads for advertising or analytics, does not create or upload a browsing or traffic history, and does not send tunnel traffic to SignalRender Inc. Raven has no Raven-operated exit server. The proxy nodes, DNS behavior, and destinations involved are determined by your profile, routing choices, and the services you access.

3. Requests to Services You Choose

Data can leave your device when Raven performs an action you request:

  • Profile and rule-resource downloads: Raven contacts the URL in the profile source or resource definition you provide. That server can receive your IP address, request metadata, and any token or credential included in the URL or request.
  • Proxy and direct connections: Traffic is sent to the proxy nodes and destination services selected by your configuration. Those operators process data under their own privacy terms.
  • Exit IP check: When you choose the exit-IP action, Raven opens Cloudflare's one.one.one.one/cdn-cgi/trace page. Cloudflare receives the network information ordinarily associated with that request.
  • External links: If you open attribution, license, legal, or support links, the destination website receives the information ordinarily sent by a web request.

Raven requires HTTPS for remote sources by default. You can explicitly allow HTTP only for a local-network source. HTTP does not protect the request or response from interception; use that option only on a network and server you trust.

4. Information We Receive

Raven does not automatically transmit analytics, crash events, profiles, diagnostics, or tunnel activity to us. If you contact support, we receive the message and any address, screenshot, or diagnostic detail you voluntarily include, and use it only to answer the request and improve Raven.

Apple may independently process App Store, device, purchase, or diagnostic information under Apple's privacy policies and your device settings. Raven does not control Apple's processing.

5. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell or rent Raven user data and do not share it for behavioral advertising. We may disclose information you voluntarily send to support when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to service providers that help us operate support under confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

6. Retention and Deletion

Profiles and local state remain on your device until you delete the relevant source or uninstall Raven. Local diagnostics are retained only on the device according to Raven's bounded diagnostic storage. Uninstalling Raven removes its app and extension containers according to iOS behavior.

Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support records, comply with law, or resolve disputes. You can request deletion of support information by contacting us.

7. Security

Raven uses the iOS app sandbox, data-protected files, an App Group limited to Raven's signed components, and atomic profile replacement. These measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security. The security, availability, and privacy of a proxy connection also depend on the profile source, proxy operator, protocol, credentials, device, and destination you choose.

8. Your Choices

You can delete individual profile sources in Raven, disconnect the tunnel, revoke VPN permission in iOS Settings, avoid the exit-IP check, remove support attachments before sending them, or uninstall Raven to remove its local data.

9. Children's Privacy

Raven is a technical network utility and is not directed to children under 13 or the equivalent minimum age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through Raven.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Raven changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated through the app or another reasonable channel when required.
