Raven Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Raven iOS application (the "App"), developed by SignalRender Inc. ("we", "us"). By installing or using Raven, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. What Raven Provides

Raven is a rule-based network client. It imports compatible profiles or manually entered proxy nodes, validates configuration, and uses Apple's Network Extension framework to apply the routing choices you make.

Raven is not a VPN or proxy service provider. We do not provide, sell, endorse, monitor, or control profile subscriptions, proxy nodes, relays, DNS services, destination services, or network access. Raven does not guarantee anonymity, a particular apparent location, access to any service, or protection from every network threat.

3. Eligibility and Lawful Use

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to use Raven. You may use Raven only where network-tunnel and proxy-client software is lawful and only for systems, networks, profiles, and services that you own or are authorized to use.

You must not use Raven to violate law, evade access controls without authorization, interfere with networks or services, distribute malware, infringe rights, or conceal harmful activity. You are responsible for understanding and following the laws, employment policies, network rules, and service terms that apply to you.

4. Your Profiles, Credentials, and Traffic

You are responsible for:

The accuracy, provenance, security, and legality of every profile, source URL, rule resource, node, and credential you add;
Protecting source URLs and credentials that contain access tokens or other secrets;
Confirming that routing modes, policy selections, DNS behavior, and direct rules match your intent;
The content and destinations of traffic sent through Raven; and
Maintaining backups of important configuration you are authorized to retain.

Raven's validation and last-known-good behavior reduce configuration risk, but they do not certify that a third-party profile or node is trustworthy, lawful, private, available, or correctly operated.

5. Third-Party Services

Profile providers, rule-resource hosts, proxy operators, DNS operators, Cloudflare's optional exit-IP page, destination websites, Apple, and other services you choose are independent third parties. Their terms and privacy policies govern their services. We are not responsible for their content, security, availability, logging, billing, or conduct.

6. Network and Availability Risks

Network software can fail, interrupt connectivity, route traffic unexpectedly, expose an IP address, consume battery or data, or become incompatible with a profile, protocol, remote server, destination, or iOS release. Disconnect Raven and review your configuration if observed routing does not match your intent. Do not rely on Raven for emergency communications, life-safety systems, or any use where interruption could cause serious harm.

7. License and Intellectual Property

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Raven on Apple devices you own or control. Raven's software, design, name, and related materials belong to SignalRender Inc. and its licensors. Your profiles and traffic remain yours or their respective owners' property.

You may not redistribute, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with Raven except where applicable law expressly permits the activity despite this restriction.

8. Changes and Discontinuation

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue Raven or a feature to improve security, compatibility, or product direction. Profile formats, protocols, iOS behavior, and third-party services can change independently, so continued compatibility is not guaranteed.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Raven is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, routing accuracy, privacy, anonymity, security, or compatibility. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so those exclusions may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SignalRender Inc. and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, credentials, connectivity, profits, goodwill, or service access, arising from Raven or a third-party profile, node, or service. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for Raven in the twelve months before the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Termination

You may stop using Raven at any time by disconnecting and uninstalling it. We may terminate the license if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including responsibility, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations, and governing law, remain in effect.
