Our Privacy Approach
Linea is designed on an on-device-first basis. Pregnancy dates, recovery notes, baby-care logs, photos, and other private records you create in the App are stored in Linea's sandbox on your device. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
1. Information Linea Handles
Depending on the features you use, Linea may handle:
- Journey information, such as pregnancy stage, menstrual or due dates, birth dates, and pregnancy outcome.
- Parent and baby information, such as a baby's name, birth date, optional gender, feeding, sleep, diaper, growth, kick, contraction, and recovery logs.
- Wellness information, such as notes about maternal recovery or answers and scores from self-assessment tools.
- Moment photos and captions that you choose to add.
- App preferences, such as appearance and onboarding state.
This information can be sensitive. It is used to provide the timeline, reminders, calculations, records, and insights you request in the App.
2. On-Device Storage
Linea stores your journey, care, and recovery records in a local database inside the iOS app sandbox. Photos you add are reduced for display and stored in the App's local documents area. Linea does not upload these records or photos to our servers.
Your device backups may include App data according to your Apple and iOS backup settings. Those backups are controlled by Apple and your account settings.
3. Photo Library Access
If you add a photo to a moment or album, Linea asks for permission to access the photo you select. The selected image is used only to create the local entry you requested. Linea does not scan your photo library or upload selected photos to us.
You can change photo access at any time in iOS Settings. Features that do not require photos remain available if you decline access.
4. Diagnostics and Purchases
We may receive limited technical diagnostics and aggregate usage events needed to understand crashes and improve the App. These events are not intended to contain your journey dates, health or recovery notes, baby-care logs, or photos.
If you make a purchase, Apple processes the payment. We receive transaction and entitlement status needed to provide purchased features, but not your payment card details.
5. No Account Required
The current version of Linea does not require an account to create and keep your records. Because the records described above remain on your device, we cannot view or recover them for you.
6. Retention and Deletion
Your records remain on your device until you delete them, clear Linea's data, or uninstall the App. Deleting an item removes it from the active App experience. Some database records retain a local deletion marker so related timelines stay consistent; these markers remain only inside the App sandbox until all Linea data is cleared or the App is uninstalled. Locally stored photo bytes are removed when their moment or all App data is deleted. Copies in an iOS device backup follow your Apple backup settings.
7. Children and Family Data
Linea is intended for adults and caregivers, not for children to use independently. A parent or caregiver may enter information about a baby or child in order to use the care features. That information remains under the adult user's control on the device and is not used for advertising.
8. Security
Linea relies on iOS sandboxing and device security to protect locally stored information. No system can guarantee absolute security, so keep your device and Apple account protected and up to date.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as Linea evolves. The date above identifies the latest version. If a future feature changes where your private records are processed, we will update this policy before that processing begins.
