MenuLens Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-02-01 · Effective: 2026-02-01

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the MenuLens mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

MenuLens lets you photograph a restaurant menu and receive dish recognition, translation, and descriptions. Recognition and translation are performed by automated AI models accessed through our backend service. The Service is provided for informational and convenience purposes only.

2. Accuracy Disclaimer

MenuLens relies on automated recognition and AI translation, which may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect. Do NOT rely on MenuLens for decisions involving food allergies, intolerances, religious or medical dietary restrictions, or any other health-critical choice.

Always confirm ingredients and preparation with the restaurant or the original menu, and consult a qualified professional where appropriate. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. Core features require signing in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

4. Subscription & Billing

Certain features require a paid subscription (monthly or yearly) or a consumable day pass. Purchases are billed through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store refund policy.

5. User Content & Conduct

You are responsible for the photos and other content you provide. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
  • Upload photos that include other people or third-party material you do not have the right to share;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its underlying infrastructure.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, models, designs, and trademarks, is owned by SignalRender Inc. and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service strictly for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and cancelling any subscription.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SignalRender Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including damages arising from reliance on recognition or translation results.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
