SnapSweep is a screenshot and storage cleanup tool that runs entirely on your device. We respect your privacy and collect the minimum data possible.
1. Data We Do Not Collect
- Your photos and screenshots never leave your device.
- OCR, classification, similarity detection, and QR scanning are performed locally using Apple's on-device Vision framework.
- No analytics, no telemetry, no cloud backups.
2. Permissions
- Photo Library access — required to scan, classify, and delete photos you choose to clean up.
- Deleted photos go to the iOS system Recently Deleted album first, so you can recover them within 30 days.
3. Local Cache
To speed up re-scans, SnapSweep stores a small cache file locally (scan-cache.json in the app's Documents folder) containing asset IDs and classification metadata — no image content. Uninstalling the app removes all cache.
