PawIsle Privacy Policy

At a Glance

PawIsle is a game about a little floating island where cats and dogs live, in the app and in your widgets, made by SignalRender Inc. There is no account and no ads, and nothing is used to track you. Your island — your pets, their needs, your dried fish, your bag and your decorations — is stored on this device. To keep the game working well, PawIsle sends us anonymous diagnostics, usage and purchase data that is not linked to you (see section 8). Its App Store privacy label lists Diagnostics, Usage Data and Purchases as data not linked to you.

1. What Stays on Your Device

PawIsle creates the following and keeps it on your device only. It is not uploaded to us:

  • Your island: your pets with their looks, names, bond levels and the faces you've collected, their needs (fullness, mood, cleanliness and energy), your decorations, check-in streak and daily wishes.
  • Your dried fish and your bag: your balance and the food, treats, toys and other items you own.
  • Purchase status: which purchases have already been delivered to your island, and whether your PawIsle Pass is active, as confirmed by Apple.
  • Pet pictures: the frames PawIsle draws for your pets so the island and your widgets can show them.

The PawIsle app and its widgets share this data inside an app group container on your device, so the island looks the same in both places.

2. Widgets, Lock Screen and StandBy

Widgets on your Home Screen, Lock Screen and in StandBy are drawn on your device by PawIsle and iOS. When you tap a widget button — to feed, pet, play, put a pet to bed, check in or claim food — iOS runs that action on your device and updates your island there; nothing is sent to us. A pet's name appears on widgets and on the Lock Screen, so anyone who can see your screen can see it.

3. Reminders

If you turn on reminders, PawIsle sends local notifications when a pet is hungry, grubby or missing you — at most two a day. They are created and scheduled on your device, and we never receive them. PawIsle asks for permission first, and you can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → PawIsle.

4. Backups

Like other apps' data, PawIsle's data is included in your device's own backup when you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer. That backup belongs to you and Apple, is covered by Apple's privacy policy, and we cannot access it. PawIsle itself does not sync or upload your island, so an iPhone and an iPad each keep their own island.

5. Sharing

When you share a Snapshot of a pet, PawIsle opens the iOS share sheet. You decide what to share and with whom; we don't receive a copy.

6. Purchases

Dried fish packs, the Starter Bundle and the PawIsle Pass are processed by Apple. We never see or store your payment details. PawIsle confirms your purchases with Apple's StoreKit through your Apple ID, and Ask to Buy is handled by Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles payment information. What we receive about your purchases is described in section 8.

7. Contacting Us

PawIsle has no feedback form. If you email us, we receive what you send: your message, your email address and anything you attach. We use your email only to answer you and to fix problems, keep it only as long as needed to handle your request, and never use it for advertising.

8. Diagnostics, Usage and Purchase Data

To find and fix problems, to understand which parts of the game are used, and to count sales and renewals, PawIsle sends us:

  • Crash reports: what the app was doing when it crashed.
  • Performance data: measurements such as launch time and moments when the app stopped responding.
  • Product interaction: which screens are opened, and when the app is opened and closed.
  • Purchase records: for each purchase, renewal, refund or expiry, the product, its price and currency, Apple's transaction identifier and the relevant dates.

This data comes with a random identifier that PawIsle creates on your device, together with the device model, iOS version, app version and language. It is not linked to your identity: there is no account, and the identifier is not connected to your name, email address, Apple ID or advertising identifier. It does not include your pets' names, your Snapshots or anything else you create in the game. We use it only to keep PawIsle working and to improve it; we never use it for advertising, never combine it with data from other companies to track you, and never sell it.

If you have also chosen in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with crash reports and aggregated usage statistics. Apple does not include anything that identifies you.

9. What We Don't Do

  • No account or sign-in: we never ask for your name, email address or phone number to play PawIsle.
  • No ads and no advertising or tracking SDKs.
  • No access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, location or calendar.
  • No profiles, no selling of data, no sharing with data brokers.

10. Children

PawIsle is made for players of all ages, including children. It has no account, no ads and no chat or other social features, and the data in section 8 is anonymous and used only to run and improve the game, never for advertising or profiling. The only web pages it opens are our terms and this privacy policy. Purchases go through Apple, where Ask to Buy lets a parent approve them, and the shop reminds players under 18 to ask a parent before buying. If a child emails us, we use their message and email address only to reply and then delete them; a parent can ask us to delete them at any time.

11. Your Choices

Because your island stays on your device, you control it: turn reminders off in iOS Settings, or uninstall PawIsle to remove everything it stored. We keep no copy on a server, which also means we cannot recover your island, pets, dried fish or items for you. For anything you sent us by email, write to [email protected] to see or delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, note it in the app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

13. Contact

Questions about privacy? Email [email protected] and we'll help. We typically reply within 1–2 business days.
