This Privacy Policy explains how YoloShell, operated by SignalRender Inc. ("we", "us"), handles information when you use the YoloShell app (the "Service"). YoloShell is an SSH/Mosh terminal client with no account system; your terminal sessions connect directly to servers you configure.
1. Information We Collect
- No account — YoloShell has no login or account system; we do not collect your name, email, or identity.
- Connection configuration — the servers, profiles, SSH keys, and credentials you enter are stored on your device and used only to connect to the hosts you specify.
- Anonymous usage analytics — events tied to a random per-installation identifier (not your Apple ID, not IDFA), together with app version, OS version, device model, and locale.
- Crash diagnostics — aggregated crash reports used to improve stability.
- App attribution — we may use Apple's Search Ads attribution API (no IDFA, no tracking prompt) to understand install sources.
2. Your Terminal Sessions
YoloShell connects over SSH or Mosh directly from your device to the servers you configure. Your session content, keystrokes, and the hostnames you connect to are not sent to us or recorded by us. Credentials and keys you enter are stored on your device and transmitted only to the host you are connecting to.
3. How We Use Information
- Establish and maintain the terminal connections you initiate;
- Keep sessions alive in the background — when you grant location permission, it is used solely to sustain background execution and prevent disconnections; your location is not uploaded;
- Diagnose technical issues and improve reliability;
- Process subscriptions.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data leaves your device in only two ways: (a) directly to the servers you choose to connect to; and (b) anonymous analytics and crash diagnostics sent to our own backend. We share with Apple for subscription management. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
5. Data Retention
Connection configuration, keys, and settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Anonymous analytics are aggregated by random installation identifier. We hold no account or server-side personal data about you.
6. Your Choices
- On-device data — delete profiles and keys individually in the app, or remove all of it by uninstalling.
- Analytics opt-out — analytics are on by default and there is currently no in-app toggle; to opt out, contact us and we will disable collection for your installation.
7. Children's Privacy
YoloShell is a developer tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
8. International Data Transfers
Anonymous analytics may be processed in countries other than the one where you reside. When we transfer data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognized by your local law.
9. Security
SSH and Mosh encrypt data in transit. Your connection credentials and keys are stored on your device. No system is perfectly secure — you are responsible for safeguarding the credentials and servers you use.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
