How to Edit a Video on Your Phone | ReelCraft

Frequently asked questions

What is ReelCraft's timeline actually capable of?
Layer video, text, music, stickers and effects, then split, trim, speed-ramp, reverse and keyframe anything on it. The playhead is frame-accurate, with pinch-to-zoom.
Does editing a video on a phone slow the process down?
ReelCraft edits entirely on device, so there is no upload or download step in the middle of an edit. It also works offline.
Does ReelCraft put a watermark on exports?
No. Pro exports go up to 4K at 60fps with no watermark, and save straight to your Photos library.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account and no sign-up.

What you can do on the timeline

ReelCraft's editor is a multi-track timeline, not a row of buttons. That distinction decides what the app can express:

  • Layer video, text, music, stickers and effects on separate tracks
  • Split a clip at any point, trim either side
  • Speed-ramp — accelerate into or out of a section rather than changing speed for the whole clip
  • Reverse a clip
  • Keyframe a property so it animates across the clip
  • A frame-accurate playhead with pinch-to-zoom for checking exactly where a cut sits

Speed-ramping and keyframing are the two that matter most for short-form video. A clip that eases into the first beat of a drop reads as edited; the same clip at constant speed reads as a recording.

Editing happens on your device

There is no upload step. Your footage is not sent anywhere to be edited, and the app works with no connection at all. For a large clip library that is the difference between editing being fast and editing being a series of waiting.

Export

  • Up to 4K at 60fps
  • No watermark
  • Saves straight to Photos

Then the usual finishing passes are available on the same timeline: cinematic filters and colour grading, transitions, overlays, stickers, and voiceover if you want narration rather than music.
