Your Sensitivity Profile Is Yours from Day One | CosmeticLens

Frequently asked questions

Can I avoid fragrance, retinol and parabens at once?
Yes. The profile carries 12 avoidance categories: fragrance, preservative, alcohol, acid, retinol, essential oil, sulfate, silicone, colorant, PEG, paraben and salicylic acid.
Is the profile behind a paywall?
No. Your profile is yours from day one — matches against it are flagged as you scan, and only the scans themselves are limited on the free tier.
What else can the profile include?
Skin type and life stage, alongside the 12 avoidance categories.
Where is my profile stored?
On your device. No ads and no data selling.

The short answer

Most ingredient scanners have a scan limit and then try to sell you the profile itself. This one does not: the profile is yours from day one.

What the profile contains

  • Skin type and life stage
  • 12 avoidance categories: fragrance, preservative, alcohol, acid, retinol, essential oil, sulfate, silicone, colorant, PEG, paraben, salicylic acid

Matches against it are flagged clearly as you scan.

Why the paywall point matters

The profile is what makes the output personal, and a personal filter behind a paywall is a strange thing to gate — you need it to interpret the result you are paying for.

So the limit is on scans: the free tier allows 3 per day, and CosmeticLens Pro removes it. The profile itself is not gated.

On device

Your sensitivity profile stays on your device. No ads, no data selling — which for a profile containing skin type, life stage and sensitivities is the requirement rather than a feature.
